Our parish is under the diocese of Kolkatha of the Indian Orthodox Syrian Church under the spiritual leadership of H.H. Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Didymos I. It is based in Kuwait. Our parish have 2,000 registered members. Total members including family members are more than 5,500.Our website was inaugurated by H.G.Dr.Yakob Mar Irenaios, Metropolitan of the diocese of Madras on 7th Nov, 2002. Malankara Metropolitan and Catholicose of the East H.H Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Didymos Ist elevated our church to the status of "Maha Edavaka" on Ist November 2007

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6: 8) Many of us wonder - What is God's will for me? How can I please God? What is my purpose in life? Many search the world over for answers to questions such as these. The Bible contains the answers for which we seek. What Micah so aptly described can be summed with one word – faith. Faith in Jesus Christ is the answer and nothing else can ever please God. For man to do justly is to give God his due. God is deserving of our heart, body, soul, and spirit; our wisdom, understanding, judgment. Men everywhere should repent of their self-desires, turn to God in humility, believing in His Son, and experience the fullness of life that only He can provide. Mercy comes from characteristics that include kindness, benevolence, and charity. Part of what mercy requires is to be willing to forgive the sins of others as God is willing to forgive our sins. It is this aspect of mercy through which our own salvation comes. We must first acknowledge our sins and then be willing to submit to God's mercy. It is only through a humbling of ourselves that we will be allowed to walk with God. "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." St. Paul points out that it is high-mindedness that leads to unbelief and lack of faith in the power of God. The humble attitude required by the Lord will make itself manifest in a life of prayer, contrition, and service. |
